The TXIT Shellfish Corporation is an oyster farm located in the traditional territories of the T’Sou-ke Nation. The farm is situated within the Sooke Basin, on the southern portion of Vancouver Island in Sooke, British Columbia, Canada.
The companies full-cycle oyster farm includes starting oysters from the seedling phase and managing them to harvest, with all oversight and care being conducted daily on the water.
The TXIT Shellfish farm utilizes a flip farm system to grow its oyster stock, which provides the ideal conditions for growth and offers an efficient and effective method for growing perfect oysters within the pacific ocean’s waters.

Our oysters are grown sustainably, in the nutrient-rich environment of the Sooke Basin, within the Pacific Ocean. The product is uniquely grown, through the use of an innovative FlipFarm (basket) system, which utilizes the wave action to gently tumble the oysters against one another. This creates a beautiful, uniform, exterior shell and develops a quality, well-cupped vessel for the oyster.
